Winter begins in Spain: Weather forecast December 1-4
Meteorological winter begins in Spain on Monday December 1 and it’s making a big entrance

A weekend of much cooler temperatures and widespread rain on Sunday has gone some way to preparing us for the season ahead. Monday December 1 officially marks the start of meteorological winter and it's set to arrive with a bang. It's expected to be a winter marked by cold weather, rain and snow at mid and high elevations.
Monday December 1

Monday morning will likely be the coldest in several days. Temperatures will drop below 0°C across much of the country, with lows between -3°C and -6°C in large inland areas.
The day itself will be settled if quite cloudy, thanks to the arrival of a new cold front. Heavy rain in forecast in the north but the Mediterranean coasts could also see some showers.
Night-time temperatures will drop across the board.
Tuesday December 2

The front that moved in from the northwest on Monday will cross the entire country on Tuesday, bringing cloudy or overcast skies to everywhere but the Mediterranean coast and the Balearic Islands. Rain is expected as the front passes, generally light to moderate, but heavy downpours are possible in the northwest later in the afternoon.
Wednesday December 3

Several fronts will hit at once on Wednesday, resulting on more dark skies and persistent rain to the northwest. Rain is also expected in the central and southern parts of the country during the early morning hours, moving south and east and continuing into the Balearic Islands and Melilla by the end of the day.
Both day and night-time temperatures will drop again, more noticeably in the east and southeast.
Thursday December 4

Mainland Spain the Balearic Islands are expected to remain under the influence of a strong Atlantic circulation, with successive fronts resulting in very cloudy or overcast skies. Rain is forecast in the northwest from early morning, spreading eastward and reaching the archipelago during the afternoon. These downpours will be persistent in Galicia and the Cantabrian coast.
Daytime temperatures should inch up, particularly in the south of Andalucia.
