Until September 18 Esparto Grass weaving exhibition in Jumilla

“Tenacissima” shows the work of students on a year-long course at the Casa del Artesano

An exhibition of esparto grass weaving, one of the mainstays of the rural economy in the past of the Region of Murcia, is open at the Casa del Artesano in Jumilla until 18^th September, featuring the works of participants in a course held over the academic year 2025-26 by Jesús Ortega, José González and Pepe Bas.

“Tenacissima” shows a selection of the items created while learning and putting into practice various grass weaving techniques like those developed by past generations, contributing at the same time to keeping the memory of this ancient craft alive.

The Casa del Artesano is open at weekends from 10.00 to 14.00.
