Until June 15 Magellan and Elcano exhibition in Águilas

Find out more about the first circumnavigation of the globe at the at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas.

“El viaje a la especiería de Magallanes y Elcano” is an itinerant exhibition concerning the voyages of Fernando Magellan and his second-in command Juan Sebastián Elcano as they set off to find new trade routes for the import of spices from the Middle and Far East. In exploring the seas, of course, they became the first men to lead sailors all the way round the Earth, circumnavigating the globe between 1519 and 1522.

The exhibition includes models of various of the ships which took part and can be visited at the seafront auditorium in Águilas until 15^th June between 18.00 and 21.00.
