Until January 6 Christmas, New Year and Three Kings in Yecla 2025-26

A traditional Christmas with music, a market, Santa and the Three Kings - and two special festive guided tours!

Due to the local fiestas which occur in early December every year, Yecla is one of the last in the Region of Murcia to begin its Christmas and New Year celebrations, and in 2025 the official lights were not switched on in the municipality until Wednesday 17^th December – almost a month after some other parts of the Region welcomed the festive spirit!

Now that the celebrations are under way, though, the residents and visitors can look forward to a traditional programme of events and activities between now and Three Kings on 6^th January, among which the Town Hall highlights the following (the full programme can be found in Spanish here):

December 17 to January 6

The monumental nativity scene of the Asociación de Belenistas in Calle San Francisco, open 18.30 to 21.00 except 24^th and 31^st December and 5^th January.

The Playmobil nativity scene in the church fo San Francisco, visitable every day except Sundays 18.00 to 21.00.

December 22 and 23

16.30 to 21.00: Father Christmas welcomes visitors to his home just outside the church of San Francisco.

Tuesday December 23

19.00: Christmas concert of the Centro Mayores IMAS in the Auditorio Municipal Juan Miguel Benedito.

December 26 to 28

Christmas market in the Calle Niño Jesús, with plenty of live music, workshops and activities as well as stalls offering decorations, Christmas fayre and other gifts. Workshops generally begin at 11.00, 12.00, 17.00 and 18.00, and the Pages of the Three Kings are also present, receiving present letters from children so that the Kings can do their best to make dreams come true!

A children’s fairground is also set up for the three days, opening from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 22.00.

December 26 and 29

16.30 to 21.00: A nativity scene route: further info from the Asociación de Belenistas.

Friday December 26

19.00: Blancanieves y el Espejo Mágico, a Snow White play at the Teatro Concha Segura. Tickets available online here in advance at 6 euros.

Saturday December 27

12.00: A flamenco Christmas with zambomba music, sweet wine and tasty festive treats in the entrance lobby of the Basilica.

20.00: Soy Yeclano, a concert by Ruiseñores at the Auditorio Municipal Juan Miguel Benedito.

Sunday December 28

9.30: Competitors gather for the annual San Silvestre running race, which begins at 11.00 in the Plaza Mayor. Registration for the race is at famu.es and fondistasyecla.com.

January 2 to 4

Navilandia in the Pabellón María José Martínez, fun and games for little children, opening hours 10.30 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.00.

Saturday January 3

19.00: New Year’s concert at the Teatro Concha Segura. Tickets available online here at 11, 13 and 15 euros.

January 4

11.30 to 14.00 and 16.30 to 21.00: The Royal Pages of the Three Kings are in the Plaza Mayor to receive present letters from children.

Monday January 5

17.00: An official reception for the Three Kings in the Plaza Mayor is followed by their grand processional parade through the town centre.

Tuesday January 6

12.00: Three Kings Mass in the Basílica de la Purísima.

17.00: The Three Kings visit the village of Raspay.

19.00 to 21.00: The annual Three Kings dance in the Pabellón María José Martínez.
