Los Alcazares Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Los Alcazares Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

Four great guided tours among the typical festivities in Mula!
The official program of events over the Christmas, New Year and Three Kings period has been announced in Mula, with guided tours and numerous concerts among the traditional religious celebrations and the visits of Santa and the Three Kings.
The festive program for 2024-25 includes the following:
Friday December 20
21.30: Zambomba Flamenca to raise funds for the Protectora Vida charity at the Teatro Lope de Vega. Tickets available from 10 euros in advance or 15 euros on the door.
Saturday December 21
17.30: Free guided tour of the churches and architectural heritage of Mula, including the Santa Espina. Further information from the tourist office of Mula (tel: 968 661501).
19.00: Christmas concert by the Agrupación Musical Muleña at the Teatro Lope de Vega.
Sunday December 22
9.00: 34th annual angling competition at the Embalse de la Cierva.
11.30: Display and parade of classic cars in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
12.00: Guided tour of the history of Mula and tasting of local products, price 4 euros. Further information from the tourist office of Mula (tel: 968 661501).
12.00: Christmas concert by the Peña Los Muleñicos at the Convento de San Francisco.
Monday December 23
11.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.00: Father Christmas visits the Pista Verde.
20.00: Carol concert by the Peña Alegría Muleña in El Niño de Mula.
Wednesday December 25
10.30: Choral Mass at the church of El Niño del Balate in El Niño de Mula.
Friday December 27
19.30: Carol concert by the Cuadrilla “Río Mula-Los Lucas” at the church of San Juan Bautista in La Puebla de Mula.
Saturday December 28
11.00: Free guided tour of Los Baños de Mula (including entry into the church). Further information from the tourist office of Mula (tel: 968 661501).
Sunday December 29
10.30: Musical Mass with the Cuadrilla “Río Mula-Los Lucas” at the church of El Niño del Balate in El Niño de Mula.
11.00: San Silvestre running race in the Parque Cristóbal Gabarrón, registration at Dorsal21.com.
12.00: Festive concert by the Peña Alegría Muleña at the Teatro Lope de Vega.
17.00: Guided visit to the outside of Mula castle, Price 4 euros. Further information from the tourist office of Mula (tel: 968 661501).
Monday December 30
11.00 to 13.00: Children’s New Year party in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
