Until August 15 Annual sporting events during the Feria and Fiestas of Jumilla
From chess to the annual 6.8-km cross-country race as Jumilla celebrates its annual August fiestas
While much of Murcia takes the month of August off, in Jumilla it’s perhaps the busiest time of the year as the grape harvest begins while the town celebrates its annual fiestas in honour of the new wine season and the patron, the Virgen of the Assumption.
July 28 to August 2 – The 25th annual “Ciudad de Jumilla” tennis tournament at the Polideportivo La Hoya.
July 31 to August 2 – The 25th “Ciudad de Jumilla” handball tournament at the Pabellón Carlos García.
August 9 – the 21st annual swimming competition at the municipal outdoor pool (starting at 9.30).
August 11 and 12 – Badminton and table tennis tournaments at the Pabellón Carlos García.
August 13 – 3x3 basketball at the Pabellón Carlos García (starting at 9.30).
August 14 – Pickleball competition at the Pabellón Carlos García (starting at 9.30).
August 14 – Evening chess tournament in the Plaza de Santa María (starting at 20.30).
August 15 – The 45th annual cross-country race starts at 9.00 at the Pabellón Carlos Garcóa. Registration to take part can be found online here.
