Tourism booms in Los Alcázares with best June in more than a decade
A packed cultural and sports calendar, plus the return of the international air show, helped bring more than 60,000 extra visitors to Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares has registered its highest number of visitors in the month of June since 2014, according to data shared by URBASER, the company responsible for managing the municipality’s solid waste. Based on the volume of rubbish collected, it is estimated that more than 60,000 additional people visited the town compared to the same period last year.
This significant increase reflects a steady rise in the town’s popularity, driven by more than just its beaches and sunny weather. A diverse calendar of cultural, sports and entertainment events brought an extra buzz to Los Alcázares last month.

Mayor Mario Pérez Cervera described the results as a sign that the town is thriving.
“These data not only evidence that Los Alcazares is more alive than ever, but that the coordinated work between the Town Council, hospitality, tourist companies and citizens is bearing fruit. Betting on culture, sport and quality of services is betting on a municipality with a future.”

“Accommodation has registered a very high occupancy, especially on weekends, and we also highlight the opening of a new apartahotel with very good results from the beginning. All of this is possible thanks to the constant effort of our entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, whom we thank for their commitment and daily work.”
With the July and August data still to come, expectations are high that Los Alcázares will continue to attract record-breaking numbers of tourists this summer.
