The various coastal areas of the municipality of Cartagena – from those along the Mediterranean near Mazarrón to those up on the Mar Menor – have their own open-air markets, and this summer these will be expanded with the addition of five seasonal markets, which will be open between July 2 and September 12, 2026.

 

The summer programme will allow residents and visitors to access a wider range of goods and services during the high season in La Azohía, Los Urrutias, Islas Menores, Isla Plana and Los Nietos – towns that will see a significant influx of people during July and August.

 

Specifically, the schedule for the new markets is as follows:

 

 

In addition to these, there is the Sunday market in Cabo de Palos, which is already established as one of the busiest in the municipality during the summer and continues to operate as usual.
