Supermarket and shopping centre opening hours in the Region of Murcia this June 9
Many shopping centres and major stores are opening their doors this Tuesday, which celebrates Día de la Región de Murcia

Tuesday June 9 is the Día de la Región de Murcia, one of the Region's most important public holidays, and if you're planning to make the most of the day with a bit of shopping, the good news is that most major centres and stores will be open.
That said, hours can vary and a couple of notable names are keeping their doors shut, so it's worth knowing what to expect before you head out.
Shopping centres
It's pretty much an across-the-board yes from the Region of Murcia's shopping centres this year.
Nueva Condomina, Thader, La Noria Outlet, Atalayas, Dos Mares, Espacio Mediterráneo and Parque Almenara in Lorca are all confirmed as open on June 9, with shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and cinemas all up and running as normal.
Stores
El Corte Inglés will be open in both Murcia and Cartagena on June 9, though with slightly adjusted hours from 11am to 9pm rather than the usual schedule.
Ikea is sticking to its normal hours of 10am to 10pm.
MediaMarkt stores across the Region will also be open, but it's worth checking the specific hours for your nearest branch on their website.
Leroy Merlin is also confirmed as open across its regional locations.
Supermarkets
Carrefour supermarkets across the Region of Murcia will be open as normal on June 9, and Alcampo in the Thader centre will also be trading.
Mercadona, however, will not be opening on this occasion, so if your weekly shop depends on it you'll need to plan ahead and stock up before Tuesday.
Weekly markets in Murcia city
If you're in Murcia city, the weekly markets going ahead as planned on June 9 despite the holiday.
The market in Barrio del Progreso will run as usual, along with markets in nine outlying districts: Cabezo de Torres, Cobatillas, El Palmar, El Ranero, La Arboleja, Los Garres, Sangonera La Seca, Santa Cruz and Santiago y Zaraiche.
