September gets off to a sizzling start: Murcia weather forecast September 3-6
Temperatures will again climb towards the 40s in the Region of Murcia before easing off over the weekend

Temperatures foecast for Friday afternoon
What a difference a day makes. After the Region of Murcia was under yellow weather warnings for torrential rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday, the latest forecast is looking much hotter and more settled as the weekend approaches.
The change comes as the wider spell of extreme heat affecting Spain reaches its peak on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures expected to rise across much of the country. The Region of Murcia won't see the extreme temperatures forecast for parts of southern and western Spain, but conditions will become noticeably warmer.
Thursday September 3

Thursday will bring partly cloudy or mostly clear skies across the Region, although some low cloud, mist and fog patches are possible during the morning.
Cloud cover will build over the northern mountain areas during the day, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms in the Northwest.
Dust in suspension will also affect the Region, while temperatures are expected to remain similar or rise slightly in some areas.
Winds will be light and variable before becoming easterly during the afternoon, with some moderate gusts.
Friday September 4

Friday will remain warm and generally settled, with partly cloudy or clear skies and some morning mist along the coast.
Clouds will build over inland mountain areas during the afternoon, bringing the possibility of isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Temperatures will continue to rise slightly, particularly during the day, while dust in suspension will remain in the atmosphere.
Light and variable winds are expected, with coastal breezes developing.
Saturday September 5

Saturday will see a mixture of partly cloudy skies and high cloud, with low cloud and some morning mist possible along the coast.
Temperatures will fall slightly inland, although coastal areas could remain just as warm or become a little hotter.
Winds will remain light and variable, with breezes along the coast.
Sunday September 6

By Sunday, the weather should become brighter and more settled, with some mid and high-level cloud giving way to mostly clear or sunny skies during the afternoon.
Temperatures aren't expected to change significantly, while winds will remain light and variable, mainly coming from the east.
After Wednesday's unsettled weather, the next few days should therefore bring a return to warmer conditions across the Region of Murcia, although isolated thunderstorms remain possible in inland areas, particularly around the mountain ranges.

- Tuesday September 4: Min 18ºC; Max 37ºC
