September 19 to November 9 Historical embroidery exhibition in Lorca

The Paso Blanco show off 121 years of magnificent embroidery at the MuBBla museum in Lorca

To mark the 30th anniversary of the MuBBla embroidery museum in Lorca, where some of the embroidered treasures of the city’s renowned Semana Santa processions are kept, an exhibition entitled “Los Tres Felices” is being held between 19^th September and 9^th November.

The three artistic directors of embroidery who are commemorated in the exhibition span a total of 121 years, and the 46 pieces on display were created under their supervision. They are Antonio Felices López, who was director from 1891 to 1908, Emilio Felices Barnes (1903–1947) and Antonio Felices Iglesias (1987–2006).

As well as the embroidered pieces other items on display include sketches, models and documents donated by their heirs.

The exhibition can be visited in the normal opening hours of the MuBBla (Monday to Saturday 10.30 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 20.00, Sundays 10.30 to 14.00 only).
