Local restaurants in and around Caravaca join forces to promote their mouth-watering specialities!

Sabores del Camino gastronomy route in Caravaca de la Cruz A new initiative launched by the Town Hall of Caravaca de la Cruz has gained the support of 30 local bars and restaurants, all keen to promote their culinary expertise under the banner of the “Sabores del Camino” program.

The establishments taking part form 5 separate routes based on the different paths taken by pilgrims to the Holy City of Caravaca (the Camino de Levante, the Camino de la Vera Cruz, the Camino de San Juan de la Cruz, the Camino Espiritual del Sur and the Camino del Mediterráneo), thus offering a chance not only to eat well but also to discover aspects of the historical and gastronomic heritage of the city. Among the specialities on offer are tapas, snacks and desserts, ranging from traditional favourites to the most innovative recent creations of the chefs involved.
