Renfe launches Black Friday tickets starting from 7 euros
The Spanish railways operator has already started its Black Friday deals
Renfe has unveiled its Black Friday campaign, offering discounted tickets for AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed, Intercity and AVE International trains. The promotion, which is running from now until December 1, includes tickets starting at just 7 euros for Avlo services and from 14 or 18 euros for routes between Madrid,
Andalucía, northern Spain and the
Valencian Community.
Discounted travel in early 2025
The special fares apply to journeys scheduled after January 8, 2025. Renfe’s campaign offers options for both ‘Básico’ tickets, which are the most economical, and ‘Elige’ tickets, which provide added flexibility and customisation for just 1 euro more, though this upgrade does not extend to AVE International services.
For instance, there are train tickets available from Lleida to
Seville from just 35 euros for the Básico fare and 36 euros for Elige, and the same prices for the journey from Zaragoza to
Córdoba. Alternatively, you can do Madrid-
Cádiz or Madrid-
Granada starting from 18 euros.
Loyalty perks for Más Renfe members
Renfe customers enrolled in the Más Renfe loyalty programme can enjoy additional benefits. Along with the discounted fares, they can redeem accumulated loyalty points for further savings on future trips.
This Black Friday campaign coincides with Renfe’s broader strategy to improve services, including the introduction of new routes and enhancements to existing ones.
Expanded Avlo services between Galicia and Madrid
Starting on December 15, Renfe will increase its Avlo train services between A Coruña and Madrid. Two Alvia services on this route will be replaced with new S106 Avlo trains, boosting daily frequency to 22 connections between Galicia and Spain’s capital.
The new additions bring 4,000 extra weekly seats, raising total capacity to over 58,000. With more than 500 seats per train, the low-cost Avlo trains not only expand capacity but also reduce travel times by up to 18 minutes on the A Coruña-Madrid route and up to 42 minutes in the reverse direction.
Passengers from Ferrol will benefit from streamlined travel, with the ability to connect Avlo A Coruña-Madrid trains with AVE services, cutting total travel time to around five hours while taking advantage of the Avlo’s budget fares.
Meanwhile, the Madrid-Vigo connection will also see timetable adjustments. From mid-December, the Alvia train 4275 will depart Madrid Chamartín earlier at 6.15am, returning to its pre-construction schedule. This change ensures arrival at Vigo Urzáiz by 10.55am, improving convenience for travellers.
With discounted fares and service improvements, Renfe’s Black Friday campaign offers an excellent opportunity for travellers to plan affordable trips across Spain and beyond in early 2025.
