Renew your Cartagena orange zone parking permit before January 31
Simple bank transfer process activates resident pass for unlimited local parking
The deadline to renew resident parking permits in Cartagena's orange zone is January 31. These permits allow unlimited parking on streets within the assigned zone, with oversight provided by ORA staff.Renewal takes effect automatically upon completion of a bank transfer for the 25 euro fee. Include the vehicle owner's name and registration number in the transfer details, using account number ES05 0081 5534 2000 0104 0115 with the beneficiary as Estacionamientos y Servicios.
For full details or to apply for a new permit, visit https://ora.cartagena.es/residentes.asp. The regulatory ordinance is available too, if you´d like to dig deeper: https://www.cartagena.es/gestion/documentos/acuerdosynormativas/69672.pdf.
To qualify for a resident permit, the vehicle needs to be owned by someone living in Cartagena, registered in the Padrón Municipal (official register of residents/empadronamiento), with the vehicle registered in the zone. The owner's address must match the vehicle registration certificate and their actual residence. The vehicle must also be registered in the local tax on Vehículos de Tracción Mecánica (IVM - Mechanically Propelled Vehicles) register, with payments up to date. The annual fee must also be paid.
This process ensures convenient parking for residents while maintaining regulated access in busy areas. It´s advised to complete the renewal promptly to avoid any issues.
