Fancy a free lunch while picking up some useful legal and financial advice? Thy Will Be Done, the legal and financial expat assistance specialists, is hosting a free Prestige Lunch event for expats in Benijófar, with the food kindly provided by Hamilton's Bakehouse.

 

Senior advisors from Thy Will Be Done and financial planning specialists Chorus Financial will be on hand throughout to talk through some of the legal and financial questions that come up most often for British expats living in Spain.

 

Topics on the day will include Spanish and UK wills and powers of attorney, and how UK beneficiaries inherit a Spanish estate. There will also be guidance on saving and investing tax-efficiently in Spain, along with an explanation of the Modelo 720 overseas assets declaration for anyone with assets back in the UK.

 

For those in the Valencian Community, the advisors will also address how inheritance tax applies to stepchildren, plus a look at what expats can and can't legally hold financially in the UK once they become Spanish residents.

 

The event takes place on Wednesday October 7 at midday in Benijófar, right next to Hamilton's Bakehouse. Once booked, each attendee will be sent a digital registration voucher to show on arrival.

 

One lucky voucher will be drawn after lunch, with the winner able to choose between a free will worth up to €159 or a free power of attorney worth up to €199.
