October 24, 25 and 31 and November 1 Terra Natura Murcia goes all out for Halloween with three very different ways to celebrate
From daytime family fun to a night-time trail and a mystery dinner experience, this year’s Halloween programme has something for everyone
Halloween is just around the corner and Terra Natura Murcia has put together what is arguably its most ambitious seasonal programme yet. Three distinct experiences, spread across several dates in late October and early November, mean that whether you’re coming with grandchildren, a group of friends or a partner looking for something genuinely different, there’s an option with your name on it.Halloween Day: family fun from morning to afternoon
On October 24, 25 and 31 and November 1, the park transforms into a Halloween adventure from 11.00am to 4.00pm. This is the daytime family offering, and it’s a proper full programme rather than a token nod to the occasion.
Activities are spread throughout the park and include:
- Halloween games and face painting on the Island from 11.00am to 3.00pm, including a mummy race, a “Feed the Monster” challenge and a haunted pumpkin hunt
- Halloween crafts at the Wetland from 12.00pm to 4.00pm, where children can make bat masks, paper plate spiders and Halloween goody bags to take home
- Dance Halloween, a family choreography session with music, movement and more than a little silliness
- Halloween tattoos and an inflatable play structure in Plaza de los Leones from 12.00pm to 4.00pm
And of course, the animals are still there throughout, which at Terra Natura Murcia is always part of the appeal. Admission for Halloween Day is €19 for adults and €15 for children and seniors, available online and at the ticket office. Buy your tickets here.
Halloween Night: the park after dark
When the sun goes down on October 30 and 31, Terra Natura Murcia becomes a completely different place. From 8.00pm to midnight, the African area is transformed into an atmospheric night-time trail filled with large illuminated figures, a Tunnel of Terror in the Meerkat Zone guaranteed to test a few nerves, a photo booth in Plaza de los Leones and Halloween activities at the Wetland. The Chiringuito and Lunátic food outlets stay open all evening, so there’s plenty of opportunity to regroup and recover between frights. Capacity is limited to 500 people and admission is just €10. Buy your tickets here.
The Mystery of Transylvania: a Halloween dinner experience
For those after something truly memorable, the same two evenings also host The Mystery of Transylvania, a brand new immersive dinner experience that runs from 9.00pm to 11.30pm. Eight live actors bring the story to life across 2.5 hours of themed dinner, investigations, interrogations, riddles and team challenges. Each table of ten must work together to piece together the clues and solve the mystery, with the winning team taking home individual annual passes to Terra Natura Murcia. It’s theatrical, it’s competitive and it’s unlike any Halloween night out you’ve had before. Tickets are €65 for adults and €35 for children. Capacity is strictly limited to 90 people and advance booking is essential. Please note the experience runs in Spanish. Buy your tickets here.
Three experiences. Two worlds: day and night. One Halloween to remember.
