October 13 to 30 Mystical painting exhibition and concerts in Caravaca

The exhibition commemorates the relationship of Caravaca de la Cruz with leading Catholic mystics during the 16^th century

The Holy City of Caravaca de la Cruz is immensely proud of its close ties with the figures of Santa Teresa de Ávila and San Juan de la Cruz, who were among the leading Catholic thinkers and founders of religious institutions in the 16^th century, and during the autumn of 2025 the 9^th annual cycle of events related to this historical heritage is being held.

Aside from the many conferences and presentations being held in Spanish (see here for the full programme), one of the events featured this year is an exhibition of mystical painting which runs from 13^th to 30^th October in the exhibition rooms of the former church of the Compañía de Jesús.

The official opening of the exhibition is followed by a concert given by Francisco José Cuenca.

In addition, on Saturday 18^th October a concert entitled “Los Senderos del Alma” is being performed, in which the words of Santa Teresa de Jesús are set to music.

The exhibition can be visited every day of the week from 11.00 to 14.00, and every evening except Sundays from 17.30 to 20.00.
