Miguel de Tena, Patrocinio Hijo and Marisol Segura top the bill at the winter theatre of Parque Almansa in San Javier
The Teatro de Invierno in San Javier is hosting the 7th annual local flamenco festival in the evening of 12th October in an event organized by the Asociación Flamenco y Copla El Arte San Javier, with the show beginning at 21.00 at the winter theatre in the Parque Almansa.
Presented by Luis Terry, the bill features flamenco singer Miguel de Tena, who has won awards at prestigious festivals including the Cante de las Minas in La Unión and the Melón de Oro in Lo Ferro. Accompanied on guitar by Antonio Luque Espejo, “Patrocinio Hijo”, one of the finest performers of his genre at present and son of the singer Antonio de Patrocinio.
The world of copla songs is represented by Marisol Segura from Lorca, whose popularity has risen dramatically over the last two years and who this year performed the opening “saeta” of the internationally renowned Semana Santa celebrations in the city.
Also included are young local guitarrist Valentín and the Kimbara flamenco dance school in Torre Pacheco.
Tickets will be on sale on the door at 5 euros, while retirees are allowed entry free of charge.
