November 9 Un Canto a Puccini, an operatic recital in Los Alcázares

The Intermezzo cycle of free concerts continues with a free tribute to the Italian opera great

Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) was the last great composer of Italian opera, of opera understood as popular entertainment which was able to move the common people through the passion and emotion of the music and the humnan voice.

This free recital in Los Alcázares, “Un canto a Puccini”, is offered by soprano Laura Cruz and pianist Victoria Marco as they pay tribute to the composer through a selection of his best-known pieces, taken from operas such as La Bohème, Madame Butterfly and Turandot as well as songs written specifically for accompaniment on the piano.

The performance on 9^th November begins at 20.00 in the Town Hall of Los Alcázares and admission is entirely free of charge.
