November 8 Annual owl spotting walk in Abarán

The 25^th anniversary of the night of the scops owl in Abarán!

Here’s a guided tour with a difference, being held on Saturday 8^th November in the town of Abarán, around half an hour’s drive from the regional capital of Murcia.

The event begins at 21.00, far later than most guided walks, but this is mainly because the prime objective is not to admire the views (which, by the way, are very nice in Abarán) but to listen to, and perhaps spot, the scops owls which live and hunt in and around the town.

This is the 25^th time the event has been held, so it is clearly very popular, and walkers set out from the OJE building in Calle Mercado for a 2-hour walk. Registration costs 5 euros and can be completed by telephone on 606 702921.
