November 7 to 9 Spanish carriage driving cup in Lorca

80 riders and 30 carriages compete for the Copa del Rey at the Torre del Obispo venue in El Esparragal

The 20th Spanish Copa del Rey for horse and carriage driving is taking place at the Torre del Obispo venue in the Lorca district of El Esparragal over the weekend of 7^th to 9^th November.

Around 30 carriages Will be taking part in three disciplines (dressage, marathon and manoeuvrability) and three classes: “limoneras” (one horse), “Troncos” (two horses) and “cuartas” (four horses), with competition beginning on Friday with the dressage at 9.00. The event continues on Saturday with the marathon at 10.00 and on Sunday the manoeuvrability event begins at the same time.

The 80 riders and drivers involved come from all over Spain, including Valencia, Barcelona, Córdoba, Sevilla and Huelva.
