November 30 Free concert by Albardín in Barranda

The musical tradition of Murcia with influences from elsewhere in Europe at the Ethnic Music Museum in Barranda

The 2025 “Conciertos Sentidos” series of free musical events at the Museum of Ethnic Music in the Caravaca village of Barranda comes to an end on Sunday 30^th November with a performance by Albardín from Totana in the Region of Murcia.

After a series of performances by artists from northern Spain, Albardín bring the audience in Barranda back closer to home with their rendition of music rotted in the three cultures which shaped Murcia’s cultural identity – Christian, Moslem and Jewish. Other influences from the rest of Europe are also present as they draw on a wide range of instruments to evoke the music of centuries past.

The concert at the Museo de la Música Étnica-Fundación Carlos Blanco Fadol begins at 12.30 and is entirely free of charge, but prior booking may be advisable: contact the museum directly (telephone 968 738491, email contacto@museomusicabarranda.com).
