November 29 Top quality local gastronomy event in Lorca
“Noches Gastronómicas” brings together the best cuisine of Lorca and musical entertainment
The popular “Noches Gastronómicas” returns to the Casa del Artesano in Lorca on Friday November 29 for its 4th edition, with a maximum of 60 diners invited to enjoy the very best of local cuisine and wine for just 20 euros per head.
The dinner organized by the artisans’ organization ARTELOR begins at 21.00 and is expected to be sold out again as this has proved to be one of the most popular evenings among gastronomes in south-west Murcia. Part of the attraction no doubt lies in the venue, the Casa del Artesano being the latest incarnation of the 16th-century grain store or “Pósito de los Panaderos”, from where flour was distributed to local bakers until well into the 20th century.
Given the organizing body it is no surprise to find that various artisan products are included in the menu, including an aperitif produced by Bodegas Contreras and a tasting of freshly sliced local ham. The music, meanwhile, is provided by Jesús Jódar Manzano and the group "Ayer, Hoy y Siempre".
Among the local businesses taking part are Encurtidos Abriliva, Quesos El Roano, Embutidos y jamones Hermanos Molina, Crespillos de autor DeAlcázar, Confitería Navarro, Pastelería La Lorquina, snail specialists Helifrusa, Turrones Blanco and Bodegas Contreras.
Tickets are on sale by telephone on 968 320898 from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 19.00.
