November 18 to 23 Music to honour Santa Cecilia in Alhama de Murcia
The local music school in Alhama celebrates the feast day of the patron saint of music
The feast day of Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music (as well as poetry and the blind) falls on November 22, and as usual there are concerts and performances at the Teatro Cine Velasco in Alhama de Murcia to celebrate the date.
The four concerts are given by the Escuela Municipal de Música y Ateneo Músico Cultural "Maestro José Antonio Ayala", starting at 20.00 on November 18, 19, 20 and 23, and admission is free of charge.
