November 16 Free concert by the Banda Sinfónica de San Javier

A new cycle of concerts begins with a homage to Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music

The Banda Sinfónica de San Javier opens its new concert season on Sunday November 16 with a concert in honour of the feast day of Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music (as well as poetry and the blind, among other things!).

Unusually, the theme of the concert is “atmospheric phenomena”, and the music performed represents elements such as water, fire, wind, storms and rain, performed by the 40 current members of the group, most of whom are quite young (the youngest is just 12 years old).

The concert at the Winter Theatre in Parque Almansa begins at 12.00 midday and admission is free of charge.
