The humidity is rising at the end of this week in the Region of Murcia, with relative humidity levels reaching 80-100% on Friday July 11, and the sticky heat is staying high, according to the weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which predicts sunny skies all weekend long and temperatures continuing to reach well up into the mid-30s every day.

 

The skies were a bit crazy earlier this week due to the presence of a great cloud of smoke and calima swirling above our heads on Tuesday from a wildfire raging 400km away in Catalonia. However, the forecasters at Aemet say there will be mainly clear skies this weekend, with light, gentle breezes blowing and little change in temperatures.

 

At night-time it will drop down to minimums of around 20-24ºC in most of the Region this weekend, while maximums will reach up to 35-37ºC inland and 30-34ºC on the coast.

 

There is only a slight chance of rainfall on Friday, in the far northwest mountain range past Mula and Caravaca de la Cruz.

 

 

For the rest it should be hot and sunny still. Looking ahead to next week, we could have some slightly more overcast conditions on Monday July 14, but for the most part the clear and sunny conditions look set to continue, as do the high temperatures.
