Mazarrón is set to launch a brand new fitness and leisure event later this month, bringing together sport, music and outdoor fun in a single seaside experience.

 

The “CaminaFit Music Walk” will take place on Sunday May 24 and is being organised by the town’s Youth Department as a new way to promote active lifestyles in a more social and entertaining format.

 

The event will see participants take part in a 5-kilometre guided walk along the coast, but with a twist. Instead of a traditional group walk, everyone will wear wireless headphones and follow a music-led fitness session that blends walking, light choreography, dance and exercise.

 

Organisers say the aim is to make physical activity more accessible and enjoyable, while encouraging residents and visitors to adopt healthier routines in a relaxed, inclusive environment.

 

The experience is designed to be suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

 

The meeting point will be the Rihuete car park, next to the Bowling Club. Check-in opens at 9.30am, with the walk due to start at 10am.

 

Registration costs €5 and places must be booked in advance through the official CaminaFit website.

 

The Youth Department is encouraging both locals and visitors to take part, describing the event as a different way to enjoy the Mazarrón coastline while combining sport, music and social interaction in the open air.
