Get ready for the most anticipated night race of the summer in the Mar Menor. Registration for Aidemarcha 2025 opens on May 1, with 3,000 spots available for participants in this exciting charity event, taking place Saturday July 5.

 

The race, organised by the San Javier Sports Department in collaboration with Aidemar, will feature 1,000 spots for runners, 1,500 for walkers and 500 reserved for the Aidemarcha community. Online registration will be available at www.aidemarcha.com and www.famu.com.

 

Presented this week by Sports Councillor Sergio Martínez, Aidemar President Francisco García and Sports Director Pedro Martínez, the event also unveiled its updated race mascot - a modern take on the iconic fish symbol of Aidemar.

 

 

Participants can enjoy a festive summer evening that begins with the Mini Aidemarcha for kids at 8pm near Parque Almansa in San Javier, followed by the 5K and 10K races at 9pm finishing at the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera.

 

With great prizes up for grabs and high demand expected, Councillor Martínez urges participants to register early. Event organisers are also looking for volunteers, who can sign up via the website and social media throughout May.

 

President García expressed gratitude to the local government and more than 70 sponsoring businesses, highlighting Aidemar’s 42-year commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
