March 8 Musical about the life of Carlo Acutis in Jumilla

Scenes from life of the Catholic boy preacher at the Teatro Vico in Jumilla

This musical performed by the Talitha Cumi company follows the story of an Italian film director who is contracted to make a movie about Carlo Acutis, and as part of his research he interviews people who knew him to recreate scenes from his life.

The result is plenty of extraordinary songs, classical ballet, hip hop, break dance and neo-classical and jazz music as we follow the story of the young Italian who specialized in using digital media to promote the Catholic faith, before dying at the age of just 15. He was canonized in 2025.

Tickets are on sale at 5 and 10 euros from the church of El Salvador and all takings will be donated to the “Caridad y la Providencia Madre María Luisa” missionary organization to help with the construction of their San José children’s school and social eatery in Danli (Honduras). The event is organized by the parish church of El Salvador.

The curtain rises at the Teatro Vico at 17.30.
