March 29 Music by Haydn and Mendelssohn in an Easter concert in Caravaca

Symphonía Deitania promises an evening of great music in the Teatro Thuillier of Caravaca

Symphonía Deitania is the name of a small orchestra of 33 professional musicians from Caravaca de la Cruz and the other municipalities in the north-west of Murcia, led by director and conductor Jesús Ortega Martínez, who also works with the Bayer-Philharmoniker in Munich.

On Sunday 29^th March, Palm Sunday, they are offering a special Easter Week concert at the Teatro Thuillier in Caravaca, organized by local newspaper El Noroeste in collaboration with the Town Hall and other sponsors, and on the “Pasiones” programme Haydn’s 49^th Symphony (“The Passion”) and Mendelssohn’s 4^th Symphony, “The Italian”. The concert begins at 18.00 and follows on from their very well-received debut in late December with a programme of music by Beethoven and Mozart.

Tickets are available at 15 euros from Librerías Cervantes, Endrino y Rosendo, Nueva Joyería and Culturart in Caravaca.
