Los Alcazares Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Los Alcazares Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
March 11 to 14 Free classical Spanish guitar concerts in Caravaca de la Cruz
Four superb recitals at various historic locations in the centre of Caravaca
The annual “Ciudad de Caravaca” classical guitar festival returns for its 12th edition between 11th and 14th March, with four free evening concerts scheduled during the week at different locations in the city centre.
The program for the festival is as follows:
Tuesday March 11
20.00: Mexican guitarist Cecilio Perera performs at the church of San Sebastián.
Wednesday March 12
19.30: Cecilio Perera moves outdoors to the Paseo de La Corredera, where he is accompanied by the Orquesta Big-Band of the local Conservatorio de Música.
Thursday March 13
20.00: Anabel Montesinos, who among other achievements is a winner at the Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Francisco Tárrega, in the council chamber of the Town Hall of Caravaca.
Friday March 14
19.30: Back outdoors in the Paseo de la Corredera, the closing event of the week features a quartet consisting of José Antonio Sánchez Aarnoutse (guitar), Agustín Garnés (vocals), Jesús Gea Marcos (double bass) and Alejandro Solano (percussion).
All four events are free of charge.
