March 1 Carnival parade and other celebrations in Caravaca de la Cruz
A children’s party, the main parade and the Burger Week event in Caravaca
The poster for this year’s Carnival celebrations in Caravaca de la Cruz, the capital of the north-west of the Region of Murcia, has been designed by primary school student María Olmedo Marín and is being used to promote the events taking place in the city to mark the start of Lent in traditional (and sometimes less traditional) fashion!
The main innovation this year is the holding of the “Burger Week” event, which, although in fact it only lasts 4 days, consists of 11 specialized food trucks from all over Spain converging to offer a range of tasty burgers along with live entertainment – click here for further details.
The remainder of the Carnival schedule in Caravaca for 2025 includes the following:
Saturday March 1
11.00 to 14.00: Children’s party in the Plaza del Arco, with bouncy castles, music, workshops and games.
18.30: The main Carnival parade from Avenida de la Constitución to the Plaza del Arco, including the winning floats from the Candelaria fiestas in Barranda in late January.
19.00: The Burger Week food trucks open for business behind Salones Castillo.
