Good news for anyone heading to the Mar Menor, as the weekend ferry service between Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga is back in action.

 

The service officially resumes on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18, offering a scenic and convenient way to travel across the waters of the Mar Menor. The ferry departs from the jetty at Playa Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera and sails over to Puerto Tomás Maestre in La Manga del Mar Menor, making it a great option for a day out or just skipping the long drive around the lagoon.

 

From now on, ferries will run Wednesday to Sunday, with no service on Mondays or Tuesdays.

 

The ferry times are:

• Departing from the jetty in Santiago de la Ribera at 11.30, 13.30 and 17.30
• Departing from Dársena 0, Puerto Tomás Maestre, in La Manga del Mar Menor at 10.15, 12.30 and 16.30

 

Please note that in the coming weeks, the ferry will need to undergo a routine out-of-water inspection, which might lead to temporary changes in the schedule. Keep an eye out for updates if you're planning to travel or check with the Ferry Mar Menor before setting off.
