La Quinta Club prestigious shared ownership resort within La Manga Club
Regular seasonal visitors return to their extended family at the La Quinta multi-ownership club within La Manga Club
Continuity, quality, security and the constant drive to improve attract members back to La Quinta Club year after year
The five-star La Quinta Club in the heart of La Manga Club, the most prestigious sporting resort development in the Costa Cálida, has forged a reputation over more than three decades as one of the finest multi-ownership members clubs in Europe, and is currently able to offer a limited number of new membership deals on both full term and fixed 4-year term conditions.
La Quinta Club is located in lush tropical gardens on the hillside above the par-47 pitch and putt course of La Manga Club, within easy walking distance of the newly refurbished racquets centre and the shopping malls of Bellaluz, La Plaza and Las Sabinas. The properties included are luxury air-conditioned linked villas built in the traditional Andalusian style. These villas afford views out across La Manga Club towards the Mar Menor, the largest seawater lagoon in Europe, and those occupying them can enjoy the community’s heated swimming pool with swim-up pool bar, where drinks and snacks are served throughout the day.
La Quinta was first built in 1986, since when the main factor behind its success has been the people – both the Members and the staff who ensure that it runs so smoothly. Indeed, many of the staff have been with the Club from Day One, including Laura Sánchez, who has risen through the ranks to become La Quinta's beloved Genreal Manager.
La Quinta prides itself on being a family-orientated club, so much so that they have many “third generation Members".
To cater for our younger clients the children’s playground and play area have been completely renovated with the addition of a climbing wall, a table tennis table and table football. Around the recently refurbished, eco-friendly saltwater freeform swimming pool lifeguards are employed during school holidays.
Over the years many Members have bought villas and apartments elsewhere at La Manga Club. But former owners who have sold their properties have been taking advantage of our 4-year term fixed membership scheme in order to return to the Club while maintaining a foothold at La Manga Club itself. By doing so they continue to take advantage of sports discounts offered - a kind of “downsizing” of the multi-ownership commitment!
We sell our membership weeks in seasonal “colour bands” and therefore welcome different types of clientèle at different times of the year. January, February and March are our Yellow Weeks, when typically our retired clients visit for up to 8 weeks at a time to meet up with friends and escape the UK winter. Special winter packages are offered, and these winter visitors have become almost a “club within a club”, playing weekly rounds of golf which culminate in “The Winta Classic” followed by a presentation dinner.
Green Weeks in spring and autumn are when Members generally come to play golf and tennis or participate in the variety of other sporting activities which are on offer. During half-term weeks the dynamic changes considerably!
Blue Weeks in the late spring and early autumn attract those who enjoy the weather warm but not too hot and like to visit the Costa Cálida when it is still busy but not overcrowded.
Red Season is traditional peak season, when families with young (and not so young) children visit during school, college and university holidays. This time of year is the busiest but has a really great buzz!
When members are asked what brings them back time and again to La Quinta they reply that it is the high standards, service, staff and security.
Reuniting with the staff or friends and meeting other families from all over the world, knowing that the standards that members have come to expect will be maintained and indeed improved: all of these are highly valued. Some members are kind enough to describe La Quinta as their home from home.
La Quinta strives to maintain and improve standards and facilities, and all terrance furniture was replaced at the start of 2022.
One of La Quinta's star attractions is the recently refurbished Club House, bar, restaurant and kitchens, which are collectively called La Solana.
La Solana serves excellent breakfasts and lunches and hosts the renowned club gala dinner on Monday evenings. Although a members' club, La Solana is now open to the public (i.e. non-members) with the exception of the pool bar, so everyone now has the chance to sample the unique atmosphere of La Solana at La Quinta Club.
The breakfast and lunchtime are of top quality and are available throughout the day.
The bar and restaurant have been completely refurbished to allow full wheelchair access, complete with wheelchair lift, sliding entrance doors and ramps.
La Solana is regularly the first choice for Community AGMs, Community Dinners, Golf Club presentations, charity dinners and private functions of all sorts.
In short, to remain at the top in a resort which has on various occasions been named the best golf destination in Europe, La Quinta have worked hard to combine a number of factors in what has proved to be a winning formula, the most appreciated according to members’ opinions being the following:
- La Quinta Members return for their holidays because La Quinta is “their” Club
- Staff and Members are part of an extended family.
- Safety and security are given top priority.
- The weather is usually predictable and invariably better than at home!
- The standards both at La Quinta and throughout La Manga Club remain high.
- La Quinta always looks forward and tries to provide added interest every year
