This weekend, La Manga Club will be hosting the 8th edition of the Rugby Golf Classic from Thursday June 5 to Sunday June 8.

 

Each year, this sporting event brings together rugby and other sporting legends to play in a golf tournament to raise money for charity.

 

In previous years, some of the better known participants have included Willie John Mcbride CBE, Jason Leonard OBE, Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, Roger Uttley OBE, Simon Shaw MBE and Joe Worsley MBE, to name a few.

 

For the 2025 edition, the Rugby Golf Classic will be raising money for The Matt Hampson Foundation, a charity which provides physical and emotional support to young people who have suffered from life-changing sporting injuries.

 

In 2024, the Rugby Golf Classic raised over €45,000, taking the total raised over the years to more than was raised taking the total fundraising to over €800,000.

 

If you like golf, rugby or any other sport, or just fancy going along to be able to support a good cause, you can go along to watch the players taking part at La Manga Club this weekend.
