June 22 Guided tour of the musical heritage of Yecla

A fun tour of the musical history at the new Yecla Musical Museum!

This guided tour of Yecla, in the north of the Region of Murcia, is concerned with the history of music in the town: how musical activity began, some of the early instruments and musical groups, and the growth of the thriving current scene led by the Asociación de Amigos de la Música de Yecla, which is this year celebrating its 50^th anniversary.

Included is a visit to the “MUMY” museum which has been created in the old Casino Primitivo, housing the biographies of various important Yecla musicians, old instruments, photographs and other related items. 

Registration for this visit costs 10 euros (6 euros for under-18s) and should be completed online here.

Please note: the tour is conducted in Spanish!

The event begins at 10.30 on the Plaza Mayor, reaching the MUMY museum at 11.00, and will go ahead only if a minimum of 14 people is reached (maximum group size 28).
