June 21 San Javier Folk festival 2026

Guest performers from the outskirts of Murcia at the winter theatre in Parque Almansa

The 36th annual Festival de Folclore de San Javier is being held on Sunday 21^st June at the Teatro de Invierno in Parque Almansa, in the town centre, and features among others the “San Francisco de Asís” group belonging to the “El Botijo” huertano group from Santiago y Zaraïche in Murcia as guest performers.

The evening also includes local group Auditorium performing humorous “sainetes huertanos”, and the event is hosted as ever by the Coros y Danzas Mar Menor, based in San Javier, just a few days before they set of from Romania to take part in a festival in the historic city of Timisoara.

The entertainment at the Teatro de Invierno begins at 20.00
