June 14 Explore the Cuatro Calas coastline of Águilas on a free guided walk

The route includes the flora, fauna and geological peculiarities of this stretch of coastline

This walk along in the Cuatro Calas area, in the far south-west of Águilas and the Region of Murcia, includes a chance to appreciate the unique biodiversity which has made it a candidate to become botanical micro-reserve.

Walkers set out before the heat of the day at 9.30 from the beach of Calarreona, and visit the other three beaches in the area, which has been included by the European Commission within the Natura 2000 network as a Site of Community Interest and contains the Cañada Brusca salt marsh as well as the volcanic outcrop of Punta Parda, which has been proposed as a Site of Geological Interest. It is anticipated that the 4-kilometre walk will end at approximately 11.00.
