Jumilla reports another successful Fiestas and feria season in 2025

Political controversy could not distract locals and visitors from the festive atmosphere in Jumilla during the Fiestas de la Vendimia

The Town Hall of Jumilla, represented by Councillor Asunción Navarro, reports that the Fiestas and annual fair of 2025 enjoyed a particularly high level of participation despite the unfortunate attention gained by the municipality during the first couple of days.

Councillor Navarro highlights the traditional “Cabalgata” and the children’s version of the same parade, as well as the various free concerts which were attended by more than 8,500 people. Not even the extreme heat which accompanied this year’s fiestas could deter locals and visitors from flocking to these events, while the evenings of music in the Jardín del Rey Don Pedro, a new addition to the schedule this year, were also very well received.

The only fly in the ointment was that due to the extreme risk of wildfires the closing fireworks display over the castle had to be downscaled a little, but even so careful planning made it possible to go ahead and provide a show.
