Spanish speakers can learn practicalities of the wine tourism industry and manufacturing process at the Jumilla Wine Museum this July

This activity, which is ow well consolidated in the summer agenda of training and wine tourism in Murcia and Spain, will take place at the town’s famous Wine Museum.
The workshop is conducted in Spanish is designed both for those who wish to learn about wine for the first time and for those who want to delve deeper into this culture, including students of Biology, Tourism, Catering or Food Science.
With a maximum of 25 places available, registrations are now open and can be formalised through the University of Murcia website at a reduced price of €65 for students and €85 for the general public.
Registration is open until Monday July 7, the day before the course starts, and can be made online here.
New features this time around include a workshop on distillate production, another on the antioxidant properties of wine and new gastronomic routes with visits to vineyards and traditional caves. All this in an accessible, practical and informative format, combining theory with activities such as tastings, food and wine pairings and guided tours.
The local Councillor for Education, María del Carmen Cruz, stressed “the importance of offering educational proposals that, like this one, integrate local identity, wine heritage and cultural tourism. We invite all people in Jumilla who may be interested to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn, enjoy and value our wine culture even more”.
Meanwhile, the Director of the course, Francisco Guardiola, highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of the workshop, which brings together experts from universities, research centres and the wine sector, with content ranging from oenology to the history of wine, labelling, conservation and international trade.
