July 31 Aidalai, a Mecano tribute concert in Águilas

Some of Spain’s favourite hits from the 80s and 90s at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas

In the 1980s and early 90s Mecano were by some distance the biggest act in the Spanish music scene, with hit after hit underlining their enormous popularity both in this country and in other parts of Europe. Their songs have become the unofficial soundtrack for that period, and are still fondly remembered by many as well as being appreciated by younger generations.

As a result, there are some very good tribute acts performing up and down the country, and on this occasion the one coming to the seafront auditorium in Águilas is “Aidalai” (named after one of the group’s last album, released in 1991, when it reached number one). The concert begins on 31^st July at 22.30 and tickets are available at 18 euros either online here or in person at the Casa de la Cultura, the Museo Arqueológico and, from one hour before the show, the auditorium box office.
