July 26 Patrulla Aguila darts championship in Santiago de la Ribera

The first Patrulla Águila Open electronic darts tournament will take place on Saturday July 26 at the Syldavia pub in Santiago de la Ribera. This exciting addition to the municipality’s summer sports calendar is being promoted by Ricardo Pérez, a two-time World Darts Champion, who will of course be there on the day.

 

The tournament was officially presented by Sports Councillor Sergio Martínez alongside Ricardo Pérez.

 

They announced that the event will attract at least 60 players from the Region of Murcia and neighboring autonomous communities. Registration opens on the day of the event at 10.30am at the venue, before the competition begins.

 

The championship will run throughout the day, starting with second-class players in the morning and moving on to first-class players in the afternoon. The competition is expected to finish around midnight. Matches will combine two popular dart games: cricket and 501, played on a double-sided dartboard.

 

Ricardo Pérez, who lives in Pilar de la Horadada, works daily at the Association of Sportsmen and Women in Santiago de la Ribera as a military officer. He holds two individual and team world titles, earned at the World Championships in Las Vegas and Korea. Currently, Pérez is preparing for the upcoming Spanish and international championships starting in September, including a return to Las Vegas and other competitions in Korea.
