July 17 Free open-air Mecano tribute concert in Los Alcázares

This July sees the return of the ‘Música a pie de calle’ cycle of concerts, which are free to enter on a first-come, first-served basis

On Thursday July 17, Los Alcázares’s Plaza Manuel Floreal Menárguez, next to the town hall, will be the venue for a free music concert ‘Barco a Venus’, which is a a tribute act to Spanish pop legends Mecano.

The event starts at 10pm and admission is absolutely free of charge until full capacity is reached.

It is part of the ‘Música a pie de calle’ summer culture programme in Los Alcázares which is taking place in the municipality this July.

According to Los Alcázares Town Hall, this music cycle “stands out for the variety of musical styles it offers, with each week a different genre being the protagonist of the event”. All the concerts are in the same location and start at the same time.

On Thursday July 24 there will be humourous music in Spanish with the chirigota de Beniaján and the chirigota ‘Los Jallullo’.

The series of concerts will end on Thursday July 31 with ‘Liverpool’, a tribute to the music of The Beatles.
