Los Alcazares Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Los Alcazares Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
July 10 to 19 Theatre Week in Caravaca de la Cruz
Seven plays and shows in Caravaca starting with a tribute to Queen
The 43rd edition of the Semana de Teatro de Caravaca de la Cruz tales place between 10th and 19th July with seven open-air shows in the Plaza de Toros offering a wide variety of drama and music for all ages.
The full program for the week is as follows:
Thursday July 10
22.30: We Love Queen, a musical spectacle in tribute to the legendary group led by Freddie Mercury and Brian May. Tickets 15 euros.
Friday July 11
22.30: Impulso, the latest show by the internationally renowned Mayumana group, with dance and percussion to the fore accompanied by musicians, actors and vocalists. Tickets 15 euros.
Friday July 12
22.30: Classical theatre with “El Perro del Hortelano” by Lope de Vega. Tickets 15 euros.
Sunday July 14
21.00: Children’s theatre, “La Cigarra y la Hormiga”, performed by Murga Teatro. Admission free of charge.
Wednesday July 17
22.30: A Spanish version of Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors”, starring Pepón Nieto, Antonio Pagudo, Fernando Soto, Rulo Pardo, Avelino Piedad and Esteban Garrido. Tickets 15 euros.
Thursday July 18
22.30: A musical version of the Spanish drama “Bodas de Sangre” (Blood Wedding) by Federico García Lorca, performed by the Reparto company. Tickets 15 euros.
Friday July 19
22.30: “Un Día Nada Más”, a comedy starring Marina San José, Javier Pereira and Manuel Baqueiro. Tickets 15 euros.
Tickets are on sale at www.teatrocaravaca.es or at the tourist information point between the Plaza del Arco and the castle hill. Season tickets can already be purchased for all shows at the price of 60 euros. Tickets for individual events go on sale on June 24.
In addition, remaining tickets will be on sale at the door two hours before each event.
