January 25 Japanese animated film classic The Boy and the Heron in Jumilla

“The Boy and the Heron” (Kimitachi wa Dō Ikiru ka) is a 2023 Japanese animated movie for which producers Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki were awarded an Oscar at the 2024 Academy Awards, and it is being screened at the Wine Museum of Jumilla at 20.30 on January 25.
Adapted from the 1937 novel “How Do You Live?” by Genzaburō Yoshino, the film follows a boy who moves to the countryside after his mother's death and enters a fantastical world with a talking grey heron.
Apart from being named Best Animated Feature Film at the Academy Awards, the film has also been accoladed by the BAFTA Awards, the Golden Globes, and the Japanese Film Academy.
