The Jardín del Huerto Fayren is a public park and garden in Molina de Segura which has been created on part of the land vacated by the old Pelícano canning factory, a past which is attested to by the tall factory chimney which still stands there.
Another commemoration of the industrial heritage of Molina is “El Consejo”, a sculpture by Manuel Mateo Cuenca, which stands next to the chimney. Sub-titled “Homenaje a la Mujer”, this work is one of a series of urban sculptures commissioned and installed by the Town Hall, and shows two seated figures engaged in dialogue, the adult giving sound advice to the child.
The Jardín del Huerto Fayren lies behind the church of San Roque and the small Plaza of the same name, alongside Calle Enrique Bernal Capel.
