HELP Murcia Mar Menor has donated €2,000 to Fundación RafaPuede, a San Javier charity that uses 3D printing to create practical aids for people who need a little extra help with everyday tasks.

 

Cathie and Debbie from HELP visited the foundation a few weeks ago and met Rafa and Carmen, who explained how it works and showed off some of their innovative creations. Each design is brought to life on a 3D printer and made to suit one person's individual requirements, helping them with the kind of tasks that many of us probably take for granted.

HELP is a non-profit organisation that supports a number of local charities in Murcia, raising money through donations and its HELP Outlet store in San Javier.

 

The group also runs a regular Coffee & Company morning on the second Tuesday of every month, and the next one takes place on Tuesday October 13 at La Zona Terraza in Los Alcázares. It runs from 11am until 12.30pm and gives people the chance to enjoy a coffee and a chat, meet new faces and perhaps make a few friends along the way. Everyone is welcome whatever their nationality, although English will be the main language spoken.

 

HELP volunteer Cathie Williams explained: "We hope to reach people who may be feeling isolated, lonely or simply hoping to meet new friends. Our volunteers will be on hand on the day."
