French fugitive wanted for murder is arrested in Elche, Alicante
The arrested man is facing lifetime imprisonment for shooting dead another man in Lorient, France
The National Police of Spain have arrested a 19-year-old man in Elche, Alicante, who was wanted for murder by the French authorities. The arrest was made in Spain by a citizen security patrol when the man was identified in the street by the officer.
The fugitive when apprehended was found to have not a single piece of documentation and so was taken to the police station to be identified. Once at the station, the national police ran a routine check and found that the man was subject to a European arrest warrant for murder in France.
