Free tacos are on the menu in Murcia today, and all you need is a flag
Taco Bell and Duolingo are teaming up across Spain for International Taco Day

Taco Bell and Duolingo are teaming up to mark International Taco Day today, Tuesday October 6, and anyone in the Region of Murcia who turns up with a flag and a bit of pronunciation practice could walk away with a free taco.
The Mexican fast-food chain and the popular language-learning app have joined forces because 'taco' is one of those rare words that barely changes in more than 30 languages, which made it the perfect excuse for a celebration across Spain.
To claim the freebie, head to a participating Taco Bell from 4pm until closing time, show a flag from any country and say "taco" in the language that goes with it. Staff will hand over a free taco while supplies last, so it's worth getting there sooner rather than later.
Every taco will also come with a free dollop of something new, as the two companies have created a limited edition Duo Habanero Salsa exclusively for the occasion. It's only available at participating restaurants today, so if you fancy a taste you'll need to be quick.
Taco Bell has been celebrating International Taco Day in Spain since 2017, which makes this year's party its tenth edition. Last year, more than 95,000 tacos were enjoyed at restaurants across the country, and with a giveaway like this one the chain will be hoping to beat that total.
Four restaurants in the Region of Murcia are taking part. In Cartagena you'll find one at the Espacio Mediterráneo shopping centre, while Murcia has two, at Nueva Condomina and Thader. The fourth is at Vega Plaza in Molina de Segura, so wherever you are in the Region you shouldn't have to travel far to show off your flag and pick up your free meal.
