February 23 Free chamber music concert in Los Alcazares
The 2025 Intermezzo concert season gets under way in Los Alcázares
A new season of the “intermezzo” music cycle in Los Alcázares begins on February 23 in the full meeting room of the Town Hall, raising the curtain on a series of seven free concerts ending in October of this year.
In previous years the chamber music cycle has proved an undoubted success with the hall fully occupied, according to councillor Antonio López Campoy, and the new season begins with a performance by the “Aires de Zarzuela” group paying homage to the rich tradition of Spanish light opera. The guest artist is Carlos Casanova from Valencia, one of the most talented musicians of his generation who is equally adept on both the French and German variations of the clarinet, according to the director Intermezzo, Darling Dyle, who also performs on the violin in this event.
The group is completed by Cristina Carp (also on violin), Lesster Mejias (viola) and Bernat Tortosa (cello).
The concert at the Town Hall begins at 20.00 and all are welcome, but the advice is to arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment!
